Normund K. Auzins, D.D.S., F.I.C.D.

Dr. Auzins graduated from Indiana University Dental School in 1996 and completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in 2000. He became Board Certified in 2002, and renewed his certificate in 2012. He served the United States Navy until 2003 with two tours to the Middle East. He was stationed on the aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt and had a faculty position at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

He has been in private practice since 2003 and teaches at OHSU part–time. At the state level, he currently sits on the Multnomah Dental Society, and the Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the anesthesia committee of the Oregon Board of Dentistry.

Dr. Auzins patient care extends beyond his practice in Portland to those around the world. Through the Free to Smile Foundation, he has helped patients in developing countries by providing cleft lip and palate surgery. As part of an all volunteer team, he has treated children in China, Tibet, Guatemala, and Niger. Locally Dr. Auzins volunteers for Medical Teams International, providing oral surgery in their dental van for people in need. He and his team routinely participate in the Mission of Mercy (MOM) 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016, Dr. Auzins and his family enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoys downhill skiing, cycling, hiking, and is also an amateur jazz drummer.
